At WWDC this year, Apple announced it's latest versions of their operating systems; iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, and watchOS 2.
iOS 9 is building on top of iOS 8 with lots of enhancements and quite a few new features. And that's the case with El Capitan: a whole lot of enhancements and some new features.
But this isn't the case with watchOS 2. Instead, it seems like Apple is just adding in the missing features that should've been in watchOS 1.
For example, why would you need to stream an app from your iPhone to display on your Apple Watch? Dumb right? Well guess what? They're adding in a feature that will take care of that problem.
Below is a list of the top 3 features that we really should've had all along.

For example, why would you need to stream an app from your iPhone to display on your Apple Watch? Dumb right? Well guess what? They're adding in a feature that will take care of that problem.
Below is a list of the top 3 features that we really should've had all along.
1. Native AppsAs stated above, why would you wanna stream all of your Apple Watch apps from your iPhone to project on your Watch? Well, apparently now (all of the sudden) Apple hears us. They get it now. So they've given developers the ability to create native apps for Watch. The apps will be stored on the Watch so they load faster, and take advantage of features like the Taptic Engine, Digital Crown, accelerometer, heart rate sensor, speaker, and microphone. I say this feature is over due, but better we get it now then never.
3. "Nightstand Mode"Before watchOS 2, no one really thought that they'd need something like this on their Watch. But at the same time, you might feel like "Oh my god. Why didn't they have this sooner?" This feature would've make perfect sense if they put it in watchOS 1. In Nightstand Mode, if you place your Watch on it's side, you can use it as a digital clock/alarm. It uses the Digital Crown and contacts button to give you options whether to turn off you alarm when it sounds or just snooze it. And the display dims so it doesn't burn your eyeballs out. This feature will be very useful for a lot of people who own a Watch. but still, I would've liked to see this feature in watchOS 1.

2. Reply to EmailIf you have an Apple Watch and you got an email notification on it, it meant you could only see the email, not really do anything with it. If you wanted to reply to it, you'd have to pull out your trusty iPhone. Well, that's about to change with watchOS 2. Now, when you receive an email on your Watch, you'll be able to reply to it too. You can either dictate a response, send a quick emoji, or chose from a list of responses Apple supplies you with. This feature would've been nice in watchOS 1, but it's nice we're getting it nonetheless.

All of these features would've been really nice in watchOS 1. Maybe, just maybe, these would've been enough to convince more people to buy an Apple Watch. but at the same time, probably not.
