Apple has officially released OS X El Capitan to the public in the Mac App Store. The new OS features Split Screen multitasking, an improved version of Mission Control, Notes, Mail, and Spotlight, and Metal, Apple's ground-breaking coding process for apps to write code close to the processor in your iOS or Mac device to get the most horse power.

Apple has seeded developers with the 3rd beta of iOS 9.1 today after releasing iOS 9.0.1 just a week ago. The new beta of iOS 9.1, build 13B5130b, is available as an over-the-air update and through the Apple Developer Center.

Update: Apple has also released the public beta of this build.

Mac Rumors has done a great job at recapping all the new features in the betas so far:

iOS 9.1 will most likely be released at the end of next month alongside the new Apple TV and iPad Pro.

And while they were at it, Apple also released iOS 9.0.2, the second minor update to iOS 9, to the public.

iOS 9.0.2 mainly contains enhancements, improvements, and bug fixes. Here's the release notes:

This update contains bug fixes and improvements including: 

- Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app cellular data usage 
- Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users 
- Resolves an issue where an iCloud backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup 
- Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications 
- Improves the stability of Podcasts

All iOS users can download the update over the air through Settings > General > Software Update.

Apple has seeded the 2nd beta of OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 to registered developers. In the previous beta, the company released new emojis in the OS including a taco, burrito, cheese wedge, hot dog, middle finger, and unicorn head, alongside support for Unicode 8.

As of now, there are no notable changes made to the OS in the latest build. Apple did say in the release notes that stability, compatibility, and security improvements are featured throughout the build.

Apple has released new "Guided Tours" for Apple Music on their YouTube channel. The videos are targeting users of Apple Music who can't understand how to navigate Apple's new music app on their iOS device.

The videos (so far) cover 7 different topics: For You, New, Radio, Connect, My Music, My Playlists, and Apple Music Playlists. There's a small possibility Apple will release more videos covering more topics inside the Music app considering it appears that they cover most of the app, but if they do, we'll be updating this Post with the new videos uploaded by the company.

During the official launch weekend, Apple has announced that they've sold (between the preorders and the sales during launch weekend) more than 13 million iPhone 6S and 6S Plus units.

The company recently stated that they were "on page" to match or beat last year's 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus units sold during opening weekend. And they've clearly surpassed their goal. However, this time around, China was one of the countries to receive the device first as last year Chinese customers had to wait. Due to China being one of Apple's top markets, this fact kind of distorts the numbers at hand.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook said that iPhone 6S sales are "phenomenal" in a recent statement...

​iPhone 6S will become available in 40 additional countries from October 9th, as well as 130 total by the end of 2015. The new iPhone countries coming October 9th are listed below int he statement found on Apple's website:

​New countries will no doubt give a further boost to iPhone 6s sales. Following normal patterns, Apple will provide more color surrounding iPhone 6s performance at its next quarterly earnings investor call in mid October. A Foursquare footfall model proved surprisingly accurate, modelling 13-15 million opening weekend sales. Analysts at KGI say that investor response should be positive off the back of these sales numbers.

While the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus just came out last Friday, there are already more rumors about the iPhone 7, Apple's rumored flagship for 2016.

​According to the Chinese social networking site Weibo, a pair of postings suggest that the new iPhone will feature a water and dust-proof design and a new casing material, meaning that this will be the last time we see a basically-all-aluminum body on an iPhone unless Apple decides to copy it's latest smartphone. The new material is unknown at this point, but rumors suggest Apple has already built the first prototype of the new smartphone.

One other element found in the posts worth mentioning is a "completely flat" LCD panel. What that means is unknown at this point, but it's worth noting.

We suggest taking these rumors with a grain of salt, due to the announcement and release of Apple's next flagship is a full year away and things could take several turns during that time. As a matter of fact, they will.

First announced at the "Hey Siri" event on September 9th, Apple has officially released their newest iPhones, the 6S and 6S Plus. They each share similar dimensions with the previous generation, with the 6S and 6S Plus being slightly taller and thicker. The screen sizes haven't changed even though the thickness and height have, with the 6S having a 4.7 inch screen and the 6S Plus a 5.5 inch screen. Here's a rundown of the new features in the iPhone 6S you won't find in the 6 or 6 Plus:

• A9 processor with embedded M9 motion co-processor
• 12MP camera w/ 4K video recording
• Live Photos
• Rose Gold color option
• Touch ID 2.0

As you can see, there isn't too much different between the 6S and 6, but it does make a difference when using the new device.

Customers in New Zealand were amongst the 1st to receive their new smartphones on day 1, with the US and the rest of North America receiving them today. However, one lucky customer did in fact receive her new iPhone 6S 5 days early in San Diego.

Bend test videos of the new 6S Plus have already made their way to YouTube, like this one from YouTuber Christian from FoneFox.

In the video, he demonstrates how hard it is to bend Apple's newly reenforced phone built with 7000 series aluminum, after the mistake consumers noticed last year Apple made with their giant smartphone, dubbing it "Bendgate".

Customers seem to be satisfied so far with their purchases, but only time will tell. :-)

New releases of Apple's iOS 9 have become available to consumers everywhere over the past few days. Let's take a look at what the Cali. company released:

Apple has released their 2nd beta of iOS 9.1 to developers and public beta testers. In the new update for iOS 9, so far it looks like it'll mostly include new emojis and under-the-hood fixes. However, in this beta, Apple has included a new toggle which can be found in Settings > Messages called "Show Contact Photos". By toggling on or off, you can decide whether you'd like to see your contact's photo you assigned to them while in the Messages app.

The new build number is 13B5119e. The previous build was 13B5110e. You can download the latest beta of iOS 9.1 if you're already on beta 1 by going to Settings > General > Software Updates. There, you'll find the new update, ready for you to install it.

Apple has released to the public their 1st official update to iOS 9, iOS 9.0.1. This update mainly fixes issues reported by users claiming they couldn't complete setup assistant, their alarms weren't working right, pausing a video wouldn't work right, and more.

You can head over to Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device to download the update.

Update: Apple has also released iOS 9.0.1 for iPhone 6S and 6S Plus as well. So when you get your iPhone 6S, be sure to update it to the latest version of iOS, with iOS 9 most likely coming with the new smartphone out of the box.

We've redesigned MBEDDED. Why? Because we want Apple's newest news, rumor, and review site to be more than just content on a page you look at. We wanted to make it an experience.

First, we started with a simple question: how can we make our content more immersive? In other words: how do we keep our audience attracted to our content after the first impression is gone? And we have the answer: by turning that first impression into a lasting impression. All throughout our Stories and Posts.

You'll notice that we totally got rid of the old navigation bar and replaced it with a much simpler side navigation button, which expands the navigation drawer. This movement is to not distract the reader with a fancy gray bar at the top of each page from the content they're viewing, but still have easy access to all their favorite Stories and Posts at a moment's notice.

To keep an impression created from the first glance of the newest Story, we needed a way to keep that top image you found in our old design throughout the entire Story or page. So we placed it in the back as a backdrop. We also moved all our main content to a single scrollable strip, much like a news strip.

As you scroll through the Stories and pages on the news strip, you still have that reaction you were greeted with by that image at the top of each page. And you'll notice, that same impression you had when you discovered that new Story, stays with you throughout the whole experience. It's a big leap, but we think you'll really love it.

And each page works the same. You get the same experience as in our Stories whether you're navigating somewhere to find that Story you've just gotta read again, if you're searching through our Posts, or if you're checking out what's the latest tweet or post from MBEDDED.
