Last night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Apple debuted a new 2-part Apple Music ad featuring R&B sensation The Weeknd and famous actor John Travolta. In the ad, after finishing a performance at the VMAs, The Weeknd walks backstage and out the back doors toward a limo being driven by John Travolta. After stepping in, he heads to an MTV after party, where he scrolls through his playlists and artist page on Apple Music using his iPhone 6.
As Mac Rumors has stated, "The Weeknd was one of the most played artists on Beats 1 since the radio station went live on June 30, alongside Drake, Disclosure, Fetty Wap, Jamie xx, A$AP Rocky, Years & Years, Kendrick Lamar, Tame Impala and Major Lazer."
