Last week, T-Mobile CEO John Legere announced that they would begin selling the Apple Watch, but they didn't provide a date for when they'd start. However, in a report late last night, Mac Rumors confirmed that the carrier would, in fact, begin selling the smartwatch as early as September 25, the same date the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus come out. In addition, Mac Rumors also confirmed a report by 9to5Mac that Sprint will also begin to sell Apple's first wearable on the same date.
The reason for this sudden movement made by the carriers may be to have the ability of selling the Watch as an accessory for the iPhone since the 6S/Plus are, as earlier stated, coming out the same day. At this time, there's no word on whether AT&T or Verizon will begin to sell the Watch, but it's entirely possible that they will become distributers of the Cupertino company's smartwatch on the same day as everyone else.
Carriers won't be the first third-party retailers of the Apple Watch, though. Earlier in August, Best Buy became the 1st retailer to offer the Watch other than Apple's own retail stores by slowly rolling out the device to it's retail and online stores.
